West Side

Time: 81:30
Distance: 12.5 mi.

The hill at Pease Park

I warmed up and cooled down with Jake, who was doing hills at Pease Park (where Joe and I worked out a few weeks ago) and did a loop in West Austin while he was working out. It was a beautiful afternoon and it was nice to catch up with him. He is very psyched about running these days, after a stellar indoor season. He ran a tough workout on those hills, especially given that it is starting to get a bit hot and humid here. I hadn't met up with the guys at practice for a few weeks, so it was nice to be back there... almost a bit nostalgic, especially with Texas Relays coming up this week. I finished up with 10 minutes easy on the grass.

IF, Track

Time: 90:00
Distance: 14 mi.

An atypical but good Sunday run. Met at the track and headed up to IF where we ran for 30 mins and then ran back to be at the track at 70 mins. Ran 1.5 miles on the track just a little bit uptempo (supposed to be 9:00, we ran 8:40) and then ran barefoot easy on the infield for about 10 minutes to finish up. Despite being a little bit under-rested, I felt good.

Infield

Time: 30:00
Distance: 4 mi.

Easy afternoon 4 miler before weights (which I incidentally missed due to new draconian rules in DL-8). Loosened up a little bit and got a chance to stretch and roll out, which was good. Right hamstring getting tight again.

Shoal Creek, Infield

Time: 45:00
Distance: 6.5 mi.
Map

Morning run... ended up being a little bit harder than probably made sense. Did the standard Shoal Creek loop and then added on a little bit (this was really probably 6.75 mi.) on the track and barefoot on the infield.
