Time: 61:30
Distance: 9 mi.
Morning run with Neely in Providence. We looped around Riverwalk and through the center of the city and then back past the Brown Track to the Boulevard. I was pretty stiff at the beginning and tired by the end. Luckily, we had time to refuel at Louie's afterwards.

Dragon From Pawtucket
Time: 68:55
Distance: 10 mi.

The Henderson Bridge between Providence and Pawtucket
After skipping a morning run in Boston, I went down to Rhode Island to run with Neely. We did the Dragon run, but we did it from his summer place in Pawtucket. It went fairly well, probably helped by a great nap that I took beforehand.

Biking the Austin Marathon (Day Off)
I had a great morning biking all around the Austin Marathon (15-20 miles) watching Neely, Brian and John Welsh run. Neely ran an inspired race, starting off fairly conservatively and then ratcheting it down and picking people off in the second half of the race to finish 6th in 2:24, including one very quick pit stop.
Neely running through Hyde Park with under 5 miles to go
Brian's race may have been more unbelievable, however, as his training pretty much consisted of hanging out, complaining about work, and two long runs. He managed to run (banditing) 2:46 (is that right Brian?).

I'm not sure when it would make sense, but I actually want to run a marathon now.

2008!
Time: 86:30
Distance: 12.5 mi.
Mid-afternoon run with Neely (and Craig on his bike) in Central Park. Body is pretty beat in general and the sore throat is somewhat worse, but once I get on a semi-normal sleep pattern again, I will definitely feel a lot better. I was a bit under-dressed as well and was pretty cold most of the way. Between the bridal path and the various other paths and the big road loop, Central Park seems like a pretty great place to train.

Central Park
Time: 100:00
Distance: 14.5 mi.
The morning after arriving in New York I ran from Craig's place in Midtown up to Central Park (6-7 mins) for a run with Ari, Neely, Sarro, and Jeff and Lena (for part). Most of those guys were running a bit less, but Neely (who is training for the Austin Marathon) was up for a longer effort. No real plan... we just looped around in the park. Starting to get a bit of a sore throat and I was pretty tired, but was happy to get this much in. Don't know how easy it will be to get milage later in the week.
